Project methodology

Our project methodology is based on coherence among concepts, methods and objectives to facilitate the active participation of stakeholders: institutions, professionals and communities.

This approach brings together diagnostics, research and experimentation and application in a dynamic way. It reinforces capacities and promotes scientific and tertiary cooperation.

The projects are implemented according to a long-standing method developed by CRAterre-ENSAG. This work method is based on the successive accomplishment of four types of complimentary activities:

1. Study and analysis of the environment
2. Conception and definition of a response strategy
3. In situ implementation
4. Evaluation of results

This cycle of four phases is repeated as many times as necessary, which allows a permanent improvement of proposals to beneficiaries. This work method also allows us to give local partners a progressive sense of responsibility until they completely take over the activities and progress of the project.

The refining of the activities already carried out, and their reorientation, are determined by the partners and beneficiaries during follow-up assignments and regular evaluation over the course of the project. Beneficiary surveys are a fundamental component to judge the impacts of the project.
